"Your style queries answered - this week "The correct fabric for awedding this summer"

I have a wedding in Inverness this summer and want to impress! I only own office suits at the moment however I now want a more casual/stylish suit preferably tweed. Bearing in mind the wedding is in 4 weeks time I haven’t the time for a made to measure suit can you give some pointers on a tweed (or other materials) suitable for the occasion? Thankfully, Darren

a tweed suit for a summer wedding may well have you in a sweat - even in Inverness. I also don't think that tweed is necessarily a good choice for a wedding as it is a very "country casual" feel.
Far better, in my opinion, to go instead for a more lightweight material maybe a mohair or even a linen with a distinctive colour, such as this strong blue or bold pink. It is smart and distinctive enough not to be mistaken for a formal office suit - perfect for a summer wedding.

P.S.
Don't forget the pocket square !!
